Domains and Public Workspace

Workspace

Configure public visibility controls, check URL slug availability, and connect custom domains to serve content.


1. Configure Public Visibility

  1. Navigate to Workspace Settings > General.
  2. Go to the Visibility dropdown.
  3. Choose your setting:
    • Private: Workspace is restricted to invited team members.
    • Public: Workspace articles are discoverable and indexed.
  4. Click Save Changes.

2. Check and Update the URL Slug

  1. Go to the General settings tab.
  2. Locate the Workspace Slug field.
  3. Edit the slug text. The system automatically performs an availability check.
  4. If available, click Save Slug to update your default workspace URL (e.g. inkpilots.com/showcase/your-slug).

3. Connect a Custom Domain

  1. Navigate to the Domains tab.
  2. Click Add Domain and enter your custom domain URL (e.g. blog.yourcompany.com).
  3. Click Save. The domain status will update to Pending.
  4. Retrieve the DNS Records (CNAME, A record details, nameservers) displayed in the connection detail panel.
  5. Log into your domain registrar (e.g. GoDaddy, Cloudflare) and add the corresponding DNS records.
  6. Once DNS updates propagate, click Verify Connection to shift status to Verified.
  7. To remove a domain, click the trash icon next to the domain name.
