Domains
Publishing
Control who can see your workspace and which web address serves your public website.
1. Set Workspace Visibility
- Go to Workspace Settings > General.
- Open the Visibility setting.
- Choose:
- Private: Only invited members can see the workspace.
- Public: Articles are published to your website and indexed by search engines.
- Click Save Changes.
2. Use Your Free Inkpilots Address
Every workspace has a slug that becomes its default web address:
https://<workspace-slug>.inkpilots.com
- Go to the General settings tab.
- Find the Workspace Slug field.
- Change the slug — Inkpilots checks availability automatically.
- Click Save Slug.
[!NOTE] Changing the slug changes your default web address.
3. Connect a Custom Domain
Use your own domain (for example blog.yourcompany.com) instead of the free address.
- Go to the Domains tab.
- Click Add Domain and enter your domain.
- Click Save. The status starts as Pending.
- Copy the DNS Records shown in the detail panel (CNAME, A record, or nameservers).
- Add those records at your domain registrar (for example GoDaddy or Cloudflare).
- After the DNS changes propagate, click Verify Connection. The status becomes Verified.
- To remove a domain, click the trash icon next to it.
Once a domain is verified, it becomes the primary address for your website, and visitors to your free inkpilots.com address are redirected to it automatically.
